**Day 1: Arrival in Moshi**
– Karibu! Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our team will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.
– Meet your climbing guide for a comprehensive briefing about the upcoming trek and a gear check.
– Take the rest of the day to relax, acclimate, and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

**Day 2: Moshi to Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Camp**
– After an early breakfast, we’ll drive to the Umbwe Gate (1,650m) at the Kilimanjaro National Park.
– Begin the challenging trek through the dense rainforest with a steep ascent.
– The Umbwe Route is one of the steepest, offering a more direct but demanding path to the summit.
– Reach Umbwe Camp (2,850m) by late afternoon.
– Overnight stay in tents at the campsite.

**Day 3: Umbwe Camp to Barranco Camp**
– Today’s hike takes you through the moorland and heather zones of the mountain.
– Ascend along a ridge with magnificent views of the valleys below.
– Traverse beneath the Southern Icefield before descending to Barranco Camp (3,950m).
– Enjoy the stunning vistas of the Barranco Wall and the vast plains of Tanzania.

**Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp**
– After breakfast, conquer the famous Barranco Wall, an exhilarating scramble.
– Continue along the southern circuit route, passing through the alpine desert.
– Reach Karanga Camp (4,035m) for the night, nestled beneath the glaciers of the Southern Icefield.
– Take this opportunity to rest and acclimate for the summit push.

**Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp**
– Ascend towards Barafu Camp (4,680m), the base camp for the summit attempt.
– The landscape becomes increasingly barren as you approach the high camp.
– Rest and prepare for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, which begins later in the night.

**Day 6: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp**
– The summit attempt starts in the middle of the night, typically around midnight.
– Trek through the steep scree and snow to reach Stella Point (5,745m) at the crater rim.
– Continue along the rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – the highest point in Africa!
– Witness the awe-inspiring sunrise from the Roof of Africa.
– Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and refreshments.
– Continue the descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for the final overnight on the mountain.

**Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi**
– After breakfast, descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m).
– Receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your mountain crew.
– Our team will drive you back to Moshi, where you can celebrate your achievement with a well-deserved dinner.

**Day 8: Departure**
– Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
– If time allows, explore Moshi and shop for souvenirs before saying Kwaheri (Goodbye) to Tanzania.
